All cyclists and especially the ones who enjoy off-road adventures love maps, how many hours do we spend poring over them to find an elusive track or planning an expedition? Many of us also have a passing interest in cycling history, if you add the two together and would like to know more about the history of cycling maps then here's the link fo you.

RSF member Richard harries has written a comprehensive blog on the subject with some very nice extracts of maps from various publishers just like the one below

The Road Less Pedalled  is just a blog detailing my bikes, my rides, the places I ride, and the people I ride with.

I originally started it to one day show my new son what, where and why I ride, so he would one day have a bit of a read from when his dad was a bit younger. Just bike stuff, touring, randonneuring, Audax, MTB and Rough Stuff. 

It's then evolved just to be somewhere to document nice rides, bike builds etc. More a photo history of various UK riding though mainly local on the north and west coast of Scotland.
