This is a very easy 12 mile ride although approximately 15% of it is on road. There are no hills and the ride is suitable for just about any bike (except maybe Brompton's) but a Mountain Bike would be best. It starts at the Folly Cafe on Worden Park, Leyland at 10.30 . I have rang both cafes to check they are open on a Sunday parking is free and unlimited. Leaving the park and using the concessionary bridleway around Moss Side we come to the Prisons (HMP Wymott and HMP Garth) then on to Croston for another coffee (and maybe a sandwich) at "Thyme on the Yarrow" then back to Worden Park - I have checked both cafes are open on a Sunday but the Folly is only from 10.00 am. The weather forecast is currently good but a lot can happen in a week.
