RSF - The Off Road Cycling Club

The Adventure Starts Here

Well today I invited a few people to help me recce. a ride I am doing on the 28th July - no one turned up probably because it looked like rain or maybe because I'm using the wrong aftershave. Anyway it didn't rain and the fact that no one turned up allowed me to opt for a route with many more hills.

I was worried that the hills may have presented a problem as I was also using my old Cannondale Jekyll with no electrical assistance, I need not have worried as along with the 26" tyres came a front Triple chainring and a 9 speed cassette - Old Skool. It was a delight cycling in silence, with no company to talk to and no noise from a motor - bliss. The hills were dealt with by a swift gear change rather than an increase in electrical assistance.

I had a very enjoyable ride, so much so that I only stopped for coffee once. I enjoyed my Old Skool bike and shall use it more in the futures.
