A little 60km loop I took from Basildon back in May this year, taking in a mixture of roads and bridleways in South Essex. Stopping at Hanningfield Reservoir for refreshments is a welcome break, although you could start and stop your ride at the Essex Wildlife Trust Visitor Centre on Hawkswood Road since there is plenty of room to park. Here there is a small cafe or you may want to try the Cafe on the Water off South Hanningfield Road. |
