A great ride from Salisbury Race Course along the Ox Drove roads on the ridge either side of the Ebble Valley with a little excursion into the Thatched Cottage picture postcard villages of the valley to grab lunch at the Horseshoe, Ebbesbourne Wake where the real ale is served straight from the casks behind the bar and the home made scotch eggs and sausage rolls are to be recommended!
Be warned, the Ox-Drove road on the southern side can be very overgrown and as I know to my cost has many deep puddles, especially the one right at the end where it meets the A354. |
