Notice: LOW GREENSIDE FARM CAMPSITE, Ravenstonedale, Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria, CA17 4LU The site is small, quiet, friendly and undeveloped, on a sheep farm, in a lovely level field with beautiful views all round. Hot (free) showers and washing up, toilets, visitor information. Campfires are allowed. The Howgill Fells begin just up the lane for walking and mountain biking. In Ravenstonedale village (a short walk away) are 2 country pubs serving meals, a village grocery shop, public tennis court, 9/18 hole golf course, and a small art gallery. There are plenty of interesting local walks and rides. Nearby you can also go pony trekking or trout fishing - catch one and barbeque it later (the trout not the pony!). Please ask when booking if you’d like more details. There is good access to the lovely Eden Valley, the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales but none of the hustle and bustle.
